Through support from the Office of Highway Safety Planning, the League of Michigan Bicyclists is excited to host a series of trainings across the state designed for law enforcement and bicyclists. The interactive five-hour sessions will cover the following topics:

  • The Michigan Vehicle Code and Michigan Compiled Laws segments relating to the use of the bicycle on Michigan's roadways and sidewalks.
  • Best practices for bicycle crash investigation and reporting.
  • Updates on accepted engineering designs for bicycle travel, including an overview of Complete Streets concepts.
  • Safe bicycling practices.

The training sessions are designed to be interactive and stimulate discussion about real-world situations.

We invite bicyclists to attend as well to learn the laws and add their perspective as a bicyclist to the interactive discussion during the training.
